Upcoming Webinars and Workshops
Bumble Bee Identification for Bumble Bee Atlas Volunteers (Lower Midwest) - December 6th (12-1:30 pm CT)
Are you looking for more guidance on identifying bumble bees in your region? We have you covered! We will be holding an online bee identification workshop on December 6th. During this workshop, we'll go beyond the basics of bee identification that we teach in training workshops, introducing you to some more difficult puzzles in identification, including distinguishing look-alike species pairs, identifying males, and more!
While this workshop is geared toward Bumble Bee Atlas volunteers in Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas, we welcome anyone interested in learning more about bumble bee identification in the Midwest.

Field Days
Each summer we host a series of outdoor field days for participants to gain hands-on experience alongside project leaders. These events are a great way to learn how to use your insect net, collect data according to project methods, identify the bumble bees, connect with fellow volunteers, and get any lingering questions answered!
We have completed our field events schedule for 2023. Registration information for our 2024 field events will be posted once event details are finalized.
